8th March International Women's Day

Celebrating all women and every aspect of our BEAutiful lives

Today we celebrate and commemorate inspirational women who made a difference in the world! From Cleopatra to our latest Queenie the world has been full of powerful, strong, determined, stoic women who made history so that today we could work, drive, speak in public, teach, vote, have a voice!

As women we are now finally seen as "equals" to men - thanks to these incredible and brave historic figures...but who are the women who REALLY shaped OUR lives? Who are the women who inspired MY life?

My mum. We have been living apart for over 25 years yet I still feel very touched and inspired by my mum. Her love for everyone despite a not so easy life...A woman who taught me to have the courage to acknowledge my strength but also recognise my limitations. She taught me that is ok to cry, provided you do not loose control of your emotions. She taught me the courage to love despite the difficulties that may arise in our relationships. She showed me the upmost respect and support when I made decisions that she was not really in agreement with. She shaped me into the woman I am now with her example of calm persistence and Love.

My Little sister. We also live far away from each other but we are as close as we will ever be...connected spiritually and emotionally we are part of each other's lives constantly.

She is my voice of reason, the calm to my storms, the light to my dark moments, the laughter in my sad days.

She is the best friend anyone could wish for and I am grateful every day to have her in my life.

She is the best auntie to my girls and the best inspiration and guide to all the children she meets in her life. Everyone who meets my sister is touched by some BEAutiful powerful energy of pure joy and positivity.

She is a talented and creative teacher and she has the incredible gift to sow the perfect seeds to grow better humans.

She teaches me the courage to take risks and shape opportunities, to have the courage to communicate lovingly and not to be afraid of changes.

My BEAutiful daughters. The light of my life. My pride and joy!

My daughters inspire me to be a better person each day. I see myself in them and I like what I see. I have invested the best part of my life in bringing them up and they are truly my best achievement yet (in fact they are my best achievement PERIOD!). If in my life I achieved nothing but being their mum...I would consider myself the most successful person I know!

They teach me to recognise the rainbows and to believe in the unbelievable. Each day they teach me to open my heart and bloom in every situation - even the most difficult ones.

They teach me the courage to love and be loved unconditionally.

They teach me it is ok to not be ok. To be humble but also not to take myself too seriously. To believe in myself, but also that is ok to have flaws...they make me who I AM!

Thanks to them, I am aware of my limits and give myself permission to keep my life simple and I create the time to do things that make me happy :)

My BEAutiful friends...I can only be grateful for each and every one of YOU! You make me who I am...You inspire me to be the best version of me each day and you truly make me proud to be the woman I am...
